Collective nouns have always interested me. I like the ones where, depending on what the group is doing, the noun changes. Geese in the sky – A skein/wedge/chevron of geese. Geese on the ground – a gaggle of geese.
I’ve been trying to think up a cute and non nasty word for those of us who lived in the “before” times: before mobile phones existed and the internet was everywhere. Say from the 80’s to 2000 or so. “Boomer” is not the word, too many use it as a put down.

Go back to your annoying sophomoric sexual banter, Duane. Foxxie always has a swift put down on those!

I had to google ‘lamentation of swans’ to see that is actually used. I’ve always liked the expression, “a murder of crows”.

A collective noun just for Duane and his personality: an agglomeration of banality.

Riddle me this, Batfink.
She doesn’t like him, right? She is not at dependent on him for her job, so no pressure there?
Why does she keep going to the bar with him?

Thankfully, as my own drinking buddy, I’m not forced to abide by glib Debbie Downers.
