Collective nouns have always interested me. I like the ones where, depending on what the group is doing, the noun changes. Geese in the sky â A skein/wedge/chevron of geese. Geese on the ground â a gaggle of geese.
Iâve been trying to think up a cute and non nasty word for those of us who lived in the âbeforeâ times: before mobile phones existed and the internet was everywhere. Say from the 80âs to 2000 or so. âBoomerâ is not the word, too many use it as a put down.

I had to google âlamentation of swansâ to see that is actually used. Iâve always liked the expression, âa murder of crowsâ.
