For an artist who is known for cut and paste, I’m impressed that both characters are posed differently in all 4 frames. Taking some time away really paid off. This strip though is dated for last Monday, so wondering if we will get to enjoy two strips this week. One can only hope. Also, Rick has good taste in sweaters. :^)

I remember staying in an early attempt at a “hip” hotel way back in 2001 or so – then, it was clearly aimed at young dot-com execs with too much money. The previous time I had stayed there it was a somewhat staid “family” hotel. When I walked in this time, there was a rave going on in the lobby – no fooling: flashing lights, loud music, dancing – and they had changed out all the staff and the furniture. The furniture in my room didn’t quite fit the room (the desk chair abutted the foot of the bed if I pulled it out at all), and included a giant pomegranate pillow for some reason. Too hip for me!
