Interesting word play on difference between money and wealth. I think he’s saying wealth is what you would keep for a lifetime and money is what you spend right now meaning you’re going to eventually have neither money nor wealth!
I’m older than my husband, we’ve been married 40 happy years, two delightful sons, three wonderful grandsons, a wealth of love, memories and time together. And much more to go!
Somewhere in my last statement is an interesting metric. There comes an age at which a person is older (or younger) than half the population.
In ancient times that could easily be when a person was in his 20s.
It’s difficult t say what it is today. People easily live into their 70’ and 80s and even 90s, but because of the lessening of the birth rate since the baby boom, you have to deal with a weighted average.
I, as a boomer, might have been older than 50% of the population in my late 30s or early 40s. Today a person might have to be in their mid-40s.
A man left a note for his wife one morning: “Good-bye, b I’ve run off with my 18-year-old secretary!” When he and the girl got where they were going, he found a note in his suitcase: “Good luck, scum! I’m doing our 18-year-old pool boy! And 18 goes into 54 a lot more than 54 goes into 18!!”

I take it this strip is a reference to someone. Unfortunately, I don’t know who, so it makes no sense to me.

Better retort would have been, “I’ll show you a man whose hobby is collecting trophies.”
