Funny, in a “channeling Alley Oop” sorta way … Stone Age cavemen coexisting with dinosaurs … and even better, with Tyrannosaurus Rex, which lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (67-65 million years ago), and Spinosaurus, which lived during the Mid Cretaceous period (95 million years ago).

Minutes later, the intelligent reptile races who would have eventually evolved to be the dominate race and create many wonderful inventions to help all life on Earth, was terminated by a giant meteor. Meanwhile, mankind, who would go on to take over the world and consume all it’s resources and land space for it’s own selfish needs at the expense of all other species, survived by hiding in little caves.

The real “mistake” with this strip is that the T Rex has arms long enough to move the chess pieces.

Got a book from the library to see just how many and what kinds of dinosaurs there were (or that have been discovered). . .SO upset: only illustrations, NO photographs. . .

I suppose chess in a bit more challenging when you are playing with real kings, queens and knights. They keep trying to escape.

It’s a drag, it’s a bore, it’s really such a pity. To be looking at the board, not looking at the city.

The scientific inaccuracy here is just making me crazy. There’s no way a T. Rex had arms long enough to play chess.

Ahh, the T-Rex opens with the King’s Gambit… And the Spinosaurus defends with a Hedgehog setup…

Here’s the deal, spacehoppers: The dinosaurs were fooling around, playin’ silly games, and the Ark took off without them. Just like the unicorns, according to the Irish Rovers! There ! That settles it.

Think the future and the Earth is in thrall to global warming and humanity is gone. All that’s left are mutants engineered to survive and various animals and plants too.

Too bad Hart didn’t do anything realistic with the Chess game; the pieces and their placement is completely non sensical. Therefore, I am in suspense not able to tell who is winning!
