Taco: a Mexican Shawarma. Burrito: American style Taco. Ceviche: traditional Peruvian fish dish. Empanada: traditional Argentinian meat pie (Botanas in Mexico). They all won the prize of typical tourist eating abroad.
On my trips to Peru & Ecuador I was warned to avoid the Ceviche, just because visitors may not be used to uncooked fish, even if it is marinated. The rest should be fairly safe.
