They are acuually called “Free Little Libraries”. People borrow them and maybe add one of their own, and usually leave them at another little library after they read the book. I have a free little library. Gets lots of borrowing business.
I like to look at images of tiny libraries. In tree trunks, British phone booths, one like a miniature water tower that you duck under to see all the books in a circle around you. Some really nifty ideas.
