Finally! This is awesome!

Another positively heartwarming strip! Reminds me of when Nate was floating after Trudy agreed to date him! I also love that “Incoming” at the end it’s actually kinda funny XD. Plus, Dee Dee’s lil smile, dawww, she cares about him!

Admittedly, I don’t think Daphne meant it like that, she was a lil too casual. So unless she’s hiding from us a panic moment, most likely she tried to be casual and just invite him, and for the next week (or two weeks, who knows anymore XD) of this arc, Daphne will show signs of falling for Nate. Maybe he’ll make her laugh, or just make her feel more confident? Idk, but I don’t think this will lead to tragedy like some other comments here, it’s been going on far too long to be that!

9/10, it’s just a delightful lil strip! Can’t wait for tomorrow, wonder if it will be a cliffhanger, Nate’s friends talking to him about it, or some sweet moment! Place your bets! (I’m going for Nate’s friends talking to him about it)

This reminds me of Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, after she invites Oz to Buffy’s birthday and says, “you could be my date”. She walks away and says to herself, “I said ‘a date’”!

What made me laugh so hard was how Teddy, Francis and Dee Dee was so casual just looking at Nate flying, and so Teddy literally says so calmly, “Incoming”

I kinda wish we got a bit of confirmation as to IF Daphne likes him back. Signs are showing indifference.

Ah, I remember my first girlfriend in high school. Her mom was born close to where my dad was born and she would tease us saying “you might be kissing cousins”. Turns out we are distant cousins. Small world.

I’m hoping this is the last Nate and Daphne story, because this has been going on for 5 WEEKS, and it all started when Gina asked Dee Dee why don’t people like her.

This is the second time that we’ve seen Nate flying in love like this, which is just hilarious. The first time was when Jenny accepted to take Nate to the dance with her.

Strip rating: 10/10 “It’s a date!”

One of the other reasons I’m liking this pairing is that Daphne seems pretty different from Nate’s other girlfriends, with her looks being a prime example. The fact that Nate didn’t fall in love with her upon first sight like he usually does is another nice change of pace.

Honestly, I just really want them to date. It’s happened before! And I think a new character could put some life into the strip. Please let something come of this…

I have a quick question: can anyone tell me what date was the arc were nate found his look-alike

I am really happy for Nate, but you know KIM is lurking somewhere and that’s when this adventure becomes REAL.

I truly believe that she is the next girlfriend. if you guys saw my comment a couple days ago (or a week) I said that he gets a girlfriend once every decade. but on a more current note; the author wouldn’t make a month long arc just for Daphne not to like Nate, for two reasons: one, its just bad writing, second it would tick SO MANY people off. and they would have every right to be. he would have strung everyone on for a month just for nothing to happen. it’s literary suicide
