Little less than dramatic than I was hoping for but good otherwise

So the Teddy and Francis Live Reaction part happened before the kiss, usually it happens after, nice change of pace. Also is it just me or is Daphnes head shaped really weirdly on the last panel?

Rip Daphne 2023 – 2023

The rare Teddy and Francis rip into nate bit that works perfectly. Granted Teddy also pulls them off better: his jocular nature and tendency to be mostly as immature as nate means him tearing into nate comes off more as immature macho chop busting instead of Francis, who seems to be phsycially incapable of actaully being nice to his best friend. The diffrence is even easier to see because the first class reruns reran the arc with trudy a few months back. Teddy just tells a pretty dang funny joke. Francis in contrast in the saame situation not only genuinely asked why she was intrested in nate, but brought up Jenny.

Watch out daphne, you’re gonna regret that.

At first, I was a tad disappointed. I was hoping for something a little more fun or cute than the usual “Nate’s friends mock him” strip.

BUT. Teddy’s insult IS kind of funny, he’s not being malicious, the first two panels are cute, and it’s not like this is going to suddenly ruin the relationship. Besides, after a ton of drama strips (mostly), Peirce can’t be blamed for going for a joke!

7/10, decent start to the week, curious about tomorrow’s strip. Is this the sign that mostly we’ll get reactions to them? Are they taking it slow since they still haven’t kissed? Will they ever go to her house (I highly doubt it XD)? We’ll find out tomorrow!

Teddy will slip her a copy of Epic Big Nate from the library so she’ll know what she’s in for.

This is another Annoying Friends strip. We all know that would happen, which happened already a BUNCH OF TIMES, rating this strip 6/10, maybe even less because its a stale strip. It happens a lot over and over again, but hoping tomorrow or even next week we will build up more, and hope for a little kiss.Although this is another stale strip, like yesterday, its a very funny strip, but if it was not funny, I would not even rate it 3.But honestly, the only reason I think its funny is because of Daphne’s face on the last panel XD

well nate has a girlfriend and the cycle is going to reapeat nate gets a couple and after a month they break up fyi my birthday is 4 days away 4/10

They’re perfect for each other unlike all of Nate’s other girlfriends. For example Trudy ,7 grade, Kelly in Jefferson and finally Angie ,perfect but were in different classes

I read once that tradition was that when a couple got engaged you congratulated the man but told the woman “best wishes”. I thought that a bit condescending.

It’s been a while since they’ve done the “look at the camera during the punchline” thing.

Why is Daphne breaking the 4th wall here kinda unsettling…

Ok. Decent. I still think we need a break from Daphne but at least this strip covers a lot of ground. This is like trekking a mile compared to the singular one inch-long steps the past few months have been. The joke was decent and if we don’t get a break then I wanna see them on a date within the next three strips. Maybe at the place everyone forgot about . . . DILLY BURGER!!! 6/10

We’ve said the same thing to all the women who married into my family….it’s become a tradition! We congratulate the Miller Boys while telling the Wives, “Sorry”. 5 Boys in my family (I am 2nd oldest), so 5 wives we’ve said sorry to.

The dawn of comprehension ( or apprehension?! ) on Daphne’s face!

And to think, this all started because Gina thought everyone hated her.

Ok…Ok Nate has been quite tame so far. Overall Rating: 10/10| Art Rating: 8/10| Punchline: 10/10

You know what we need to see?A Craig revenge arc!He is so distraught over losing Daphne that it turns into anger and he dedicates his life to making Nate’s miserable, he tells everyone misinformation about him, tampers with his grades, and does everything he can to break them up!We’ve never seen a revenge arc before! (I think) That would be awesome!

Love Daphne’s expression in panel 4. She’s only now realizing that when you date a guy, you’re sort of dating his friends, too.

I love it how this entire arc started in, like, April with Gina asking Dee Dee “Why doesn’t anyone like me?” And that started all this.
