I don’t know what’s with all these strips of Nate Francis and Teddy treating each other horribly. Has it always been like this, and I’m just now realizing?

I don’t blame Nate for often being disgusted about egg salad. Anything with mayonnaise is not for me! But c’mon, are Francis and Teddy really gonna keep taking advantage of Nate’s fears and disgusts?

While this isn’t AS bad as when Francis used cats, it’s still pretty mean. Again, if Nate did something like this, they’d crucify him.

Good joke, but Teddy and Francis is making it go down. Nothing to bad, but nothing good

Alfred Hitchcock was frightened and revolted by eggs and frequently put a scene in his movie where an egg would be severely abused.

Example: the infamous scene in “To Catch a Thief” where a cigarette is put out in the yolk of a sunny-side-up egg.

Notice how last week’s Sunday strip contains Nate and his fear of cats. This week’s strip contains Nate and his disgust of egg salad. Apparently Peirce is cycling through Nate’s top three things that he hates, so I bet next week’s strip would contain Nate and his hatred of figure skating. I could be wrong though.

I’m expecting negative reviews when I look at the comments…

Hmm, this one definitely echos last Sunday’s strip. But at least it’s not a fear of Nate’s being exploited!

I wonder why we never really see Nate doing this very thing to Teddy or Francis? Maybe because we don’t have much information on the things they fear/greatly dislike. A switch of perspective would be nice- although I don’t think Nate would exploit something like this in his friends. Yeah, he’s tricked them multiple times- but that’s different from throwing something personal (fears/dislikes) into the mix
