Again… this insanity that pretty much no one has dogs, coupled with the fact Marty would have said no even if EVERYONE had a dog is just… no, sorry, this isn’t a good enough twist on the formula.

Usually I have something to say but this arc is so boring idk anymore

I easily knew this was gonna be flawed. I saw it coming from the first strip starting Monday. To have Nate actually get what he wanted something too good to be true. If Peirce really reuses the same arc idea year after year, they’res really no point to it if the same outcome occurs at the end. I hope this whole “Dog for Christmas” occurance in Big Nate could come to an end because the only thing that changes for each time this happens is HOW Nate’s plan to convince his dad doesn’t work. In that case, you’ll might as well just throw this arc idea out of the window because no one is liking it

This arc went downhill really fast. Anyway, Poll: How has 2023 been for u so far, since the year is almost over? On a side note, I actually went back to the Big Nate Comments Wiki after I heard that SOTI got banned from it, and tbh, there’s some weird stuff on there, but it’s not as bad as I thought it was. Well, there’s still weird fan fictions and trolls, but everything else is cool. Have a great day :)

It just goes to show that Nat is not a scientist in the making. His question was all wrong.

He asked his classmates: “Do you have a dog?” So his classmates interpreted the question as if each one of them had a personal pet which was a dog, and all of them answered in the negative, by letting him know about their own personal pet that is in their own room.

His question should have been “Does your family have a dog?” It is evident from past strips that there is a bunch of dogs in the neighborhood…

I know dogs are well-loved, but 98% is so much of a stretch it’s not even funny.

You mean to tell me that Nate made up that data that doesn’t even make any sense? If 98% of his classmates had dogs, that means at a minimum, he would have 50 classmates, 49 of them having a dog… which makes no sense. Or maybe he might be referring to all the students in his grade…
