Most of them didn’t/don’t want to know or find what they just passed.

They might read but can’t comprehend

Please stop picking on republicans.

You really expect both sides to come together in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect? BOTH sides need to do a lot of self-examination. No wonder China and Russia practically own us. We are digging our own grave. Hate, fear and greed are rampant. I know I’m not perfect, but neither is anyone else. Money and power. Political correctness. Beam me the heck outta here, Scotty.

Some bills are very terse, such as amendments 19 and 27 which combined have less than 70 words. So maybe it’s more the case that all the pols don’t read all of the long, long bills (e.g., the budget bill). But you can be sure that those pols are sedulous in confirming that provisions they wrote or tacked on as amendments are still there.

You got half of congress to read it? Score!

Come on, that’s not half as bad as it sounds!

And the other half can’t write.

Oooh! Oooh! I can guess which half!

And the other half are brain dead.

Only the Legislative director (LD) and his/her’s minions are allowed to read the bills, then summary and their opinion is given to congressperson…

that’s a positive – think of the damage they’d do if they actually read them and mistakenly thought they understood what they’d read…
