A man was walking past the local Insane Asylum when he heard the patients within repeatedly shouting in unison, “13! 13! 13! 13! …” Curiosity got the better of him when he saw a hole in the wooden fence where he could see into the yard and perhaps learn what was going on. Pressing his face against the fence, someone on the other side stuck a finger into the man’s eye. Staggering back with his hand over his painful eye, the man started hearing a new chant: “14! 14! 14! 14! …”
“Redshirts”, (which kind of follows this same theme), by John Scalzi recently was named Hugo winner for best science fiction novel of 2012. A very funny book. Highly recommended.

The alien didn’t open its mouth, but Kenny was still ingested. Kenny must be a suppository.
