The Atari HQ used to be within walking distance of my house. They had all of their arcade games set up in the lobby and playable for free. Space Invaders was the one game I could never win at.
Now, if they had combined it with tank and asteroids….

Hit the saucer first on the 23rd shot for 300 points, then every fifteenth shot after that – IIRC. That game sucked up a lot of my quarters.
