I have Jewish friends who are not particularly observant.

This is why Broom Hilda is the lead character; the sign is about eating, it says nothing about serving food. Good catch Broomie!

In fairness, it didn’t say, “Eat FOOD Here.”

The sign doesn’t say much about whether it’s worth eating here. A lot of places that shout “Eats” could just as easily be called “Gags” or “Poops”.

My parents did a lot of traveling, and my Dad used to say, never eat at any place called “Eats” unless the only other place is called “Mom’s”.

The question is valid, she just left out the word ‘edible’.

On the contrary, wise-ass Gaylord. The huge sign says “eat here,” but it does not say anything about serving food. Broomie is absolutely correct to inquire of the proprietor….
