I fail to see what thrill it would be looking at a horse cross-eyed.

And her main takeaway was that the guys on the screen are much better looking.

Why would anyone be cross when eyeing a horse?

And after the good guys won, they would sing a song.

“They were the “good old days” because they were long ago and you have a BAD memory." I forget who said it, but it has always stuck with me.

Westerns were popular in the 20th century, so basically the bird’s assumptions are wrong.

Stealing a horse was a hanging offense, no trial, just a tree and a rope most of the time. So even looking at a horse in certain ways wasn’t a smart thing to do.

Life span was 49 years but that was because of all the babies that died, they would give you opium mixed with alcohol for pain and the streets were often made of logs. No one cared if you looked at horse but if you stole one they would hang you. That was because when you stole a horse you probably consigned the owner to a long, lingering death from thirst.

I don’t ever think I looked at a “horse cross-eyed”, but I did look at a couple of cows that way from the barn gutter after they kicked me when I was milking them.
