Where I live I notice a return to the bright, opalescent makeup colours that were so popular in the 70s and early 80s in the US. When I moved to Europe I was told that makeup should be unobtrusive, it should highlight without standing up and shouting. Well, there’s currently a trend for one step shy of clown makeup. Makes adult women look older than they are, and teenagers look like they were playing with Mummy’s makeup box.
Maybe the cupcake is on to something… Whenever someone would bring donuts to the office, the pink frosted with sprinkles was the last to go. I worked with a bunch of guys, and they couldn’t bring themselves to eat a “girly” donut!
