I’ve got an extensive Reader’s Digest record collection in boxed groups of 5 to 10 records I inherited from my parents plus individual albums I bought for myself over time.
CDs are having a bit of a bounce back these days. Vinyl (both new and used) has become so pricey, a lot of the people who would like to collect physical media can’t afford them. Meanwhile, used CDs are plentiful and inexpensive. A lot of Millennials grew up with CDs and have nostalgia for them.
not exactly. I prefer to get music in CD to purchase as physical original media, which does not wear off when you use it as it happens with vinyl, then rip it off to mp3, keep the CD as backup and play it from a device tat will not use the battery from my cellphone, so when I need to use the phone it still has a charge

Yup. Young rich kids are discovering vinyl records again. Except the player connects via USB cable.

~40M sales compared to ~350M in the early 80s. Show me streaming.

Still have all of mine. And my Pioneer direct-drive turntable. And my Heathkit AA-151 tube-type stereo.
