Calvin and Susie are attracted to each other and are expressing it in an age-appropriate way.

Why do their eyes look evil when they’re mad or suspicious looking? That’s scary.

Poor Calvin, guilty until proven innocent. Susie might have suspected that Calvin was up to no good and that given Calvin’s past history and the fact that it is summer, it would probably have soemthing to do with water balloons. Had it been winter, snowmen or snow balls would surely be involved in he plot.

However, she has no actual proof and is taking action on suspicion only. After all, Calvin never even threatened to hit her with water baloons. Of course, this could be looked upon as a pre-emptive strike. As they say, “All’s fair in love and war.” I wonder which this is.

I love these threads. I always get a kick out of the interactions between Calvin and Susie.
