How politicians get started.

Well.. School minus learning minus teachers minus students is indeed a good idea. Do you have plan to rename it?

Yeah, but I don’t think any of them would ever get implemented.

We have politicians who are like this………“wouldnt it be great if we didnt pay any taxes……..”

How do you know these words then?

Right now you’ve got tons of gripes, Calvin. Will we hear you ideas in the next strip? Probably not, in which case you have a great future as a politician.

Calvin is very antisocial. He never wants to play with any other kids.

Actually schools should be done completely different. Just not remotely like how Calvin describes, either.

Calvin doesn’t have a clue what makes the world go ‘round. But we old-timers who have it all figured out still need clueless troublemakers like Cal. Without them, we’d doze off into smug oblivion.

What did one baby seal say to the other?

“Let’s go clubbing!”

You know, if you did it right, recess was hard work…….

I feel like that for work some days!

Yes, and broccoli would taste great if it were a hot fudge sundae.

It isn’t so much that Calvin is antisocial. He doesn’t fit in the mainstream. He’s too creative, his vocabulary would leave his peers heads spinning, his imagination goes well beyond elementary school standards. He doesn’t fit in the world he’s forced to live in so he makes up his own.

Calvin loves school—if it were exactly like vacation.

Actually, Calvin does learn a lot on vacation. Some of it is even similar to what he studies in school.

Kids that think like that end up living in mom’s basement complaining if their orange juice has too much pulp.

Unfortunately, Calvin, children are basically prisoners; in that kids have essentially zero rights!

I’ve got tons of ideas too. Most of them aren’t worth the space they take up.

Excuse me while I go to my room and whine…

Watch any network on TV and they will spend 20 hours hyping a one hour show, 20 minutes of which will be spent hyping other shows,
