Better wait for his Dad to check come and rescue him.
Calvin, get out of my chair!
That plan was a “Shoe” in!
and just how long do Calvin and Hobbes plan to respectively sit in the chair and hide thereunder?
He should have waited until his parents were there to witness it.
respective gotcha!
Is this where Harry Potter learned that trick?
This is like the Ninja Kitty on One Big Happy.
Do that with bacon and you can get off incident-free.
There’s nothing worse than a sneaky sneaker cat!
Loving Hobbes nose at the end….
“You just never can be too careful!”
So now Hobbes has to just sit there waiting for the other shoe to drop. Calvin should throw the shoe one way and run the other direction.
I think that this is the second time within three or four weeks that Calvin has tricked Hobbes. The kid is on a roll.
Better safe than sorry, Calvin?
Thank you Mr. Watterson!
Hobbes is even faster than the Under-the-Bed monsters. :P
Calvin has developed his tiger senses pretty well.
“You just can’t ever be too careful.” Those are wise words.
We have a chair just like this, and our cat does just that!
Smart Calvin, Very smart.
he should do a series on the adult Calvin
How’d my cat get into this strip??
I do that at night with slippers to test for monsters under my bed…
saw this (almost) in HP & the Prisoner of Azkaban
Real tigers are blindingly fast. I read a book “Cat Man” about a guy whose job was to stand near the cages and keep people from getting close enough to get seriously injured by the big cats; they would never see it coming. Too gory to describe here.
I don’t know, but ‘tis funny.
How do you report somebody?sorry for asking
It will take as long as it takes.
Hobbes under the chair. I’ve seen him behind the chair before, but never under it.
Calvin, terrified of his alter ego. (Panel 3 is priceless)
Sometimes the monster under the bed is your best friend…
