    Wow, go figure, Cathy’s kitchen matches her chaotic mind. I never saw that coming. rgcviper this is what I envision your Sunday ‘mind explosion’ to look like.

    Morning Susan when you arrive. lightenup undoubtedly not far behind. Yet another morning of me getting home on time (which makes LMB happy). Tonight’s dinner is all prepped and ready for the oven. And I’m ready to rendezvous with my blanky. Hello fellow Cathyites. Hi Mom! in case you missed mine from yesterday.

    Nope, none of these are “real life shopping concerns of the American female”… sorry. simpsonfan2 is right, and almost anything goes with a miniskirt. And I always have tops for the few plastic containers that I have. If you have so many plastic containers that they rival the garbage pile in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, then you have too many.Good morning, Aaron! I’m only about 24 minutes behind which will turn into 30 by the time I type and surf the internet. :-)Good morning, Susan and gmforde!Hello to GsMom, Billy, KFG, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, soonergal and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!@ GsMom – Welcome back! We always miss you on your days off! :-)@ KFG – Got that ‘puter fixed yet?@ lindz.coop – Thanks for the birthday wish yesterday! Her birthday is actually tomorrow, and she refuses to let me call her 9 years old until then. She’s so funny because sometimes she’s sensitive to change, and she really doesn’t like getting older (poor thing, it only gets worse). She says she likes being 8 and wants to be a kid forever. I told her she’ll always be my kid… ♡

    Good morning everybody. I’ve finally cured my son-in-law of the habit of saving every margarine tub or mayonaise jar. Now if I could just teach him to do his own laundry or remember when it’s trash pickup day.

    I can relate to this more than the clothing issues. Once I bought a big container and grabbed the wrong lid. Then it got bent on the way home because I had to jam it into the backseat of my little car. Oh well. Be careful when buying large storage bins. The lids aren’t always attached, but place somewhere else on the shelf. :-(

    The best thing that goes with a mini skirt is a pair of young, long, shapely legs. Even though I don’t qualify for that anymore, I did once, long ago, and I am content with it.

    We have one cupboard full of tubs – for some reason the lids I find are almost the right size for the container I want to use. Can never find the exact match!

    I was gonna make a clever comment about panel 1, but I’ve decided not to. Cathy should get the eye rolls, not me.

    Our solution to Cathy’s problem in panel 2 is to use a Foodsaver vacuum system and/or a reasonable supply of Tupperware.

    Yummm, I can smell the manicottis cooking, so they must be about done. See ya later bye :-)

    I’d laugh about this one, but the sad thing is that I can kinda relate. Kinda.

    @Aaron: LOL—right on!

    Hello, everyone … great to hear from you all as always.

    While my kitchen looks no where near this, I can certainly identify with Cathy’s problem. It frustrated my husband so much that one day a year or so ago, we completely cleaned out the cabinets. Anything without a top (and vice versa) got thrown into the recycling bin and then we pared down the rest to a more manageable level. After all, how many containers do we really need for leftovers when I try to make only the right amount of food we need for dinner so that there aren’t any leftovers?!? (Exception: Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, naturally!)

    ;-)

    Good evening, Aaron, Dr. Billy, lightenup, K.F.G., Susan, rgcviper, summerdog, gmforde, hendelca, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, Mona, lindz.coop, Terri, simpsonfan2 and all the rest of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, good to “see” you all!

    Hi Cathyites!! I could have related to this a couple of years ago — well, maybe not as bad as Cathy. After I had breast cancer, we switched to glass containers. Fortunately, they are a little more expensive, so we take better care of the containers and their tops — everything now has a matching top and there are a lot fewer of them.
