This is the story of my life taking forever to get out of the house because of hair and makeup mostly!! Now you men can understand why it is a major production to go anywhere!!

So, this is why women are never ready to go out at the same time that men are. Mystery solved at last!

…and I’m sure she’s going to cry at the wedding or will tear her hair and has to redo it all again!

Good Morning mollie, AnonaMona, Dr. KFG, Susan, Aaron, Dr. Billy, Gretchen’s Mom and any other Cathy fan around. I’m back from vacation and happy to “see” you all!

Of course, Cathy has to complicate things, but she just needs to put her hair into a pretty up-do with a lovely floral clip to go with the outdoorsy formal look. And you do have AC turned on, I would hope, Cathy. And don’t worry about being wrinkled because as soon as you get in the car, it’ll get wrinkled anyway. Sigh…Good morning, mollie, legaleagle and summerdog!WELCOME BACK, Bronzepony!! Tell us how your trip was! Would love to hear all about it. :-)Good morning, Susan and Aaron! I know you’re not posting because of Rosh Hashanah, Susan… Shanah Tovah to you! I predict that after all of this pre-wedding trauma, Cathy will get to the wedding and realize that no one is paying her a bit of attention. Cathy, Alex is not going to glance at you and see how amazing you are and push his fiancee into the swimming pool and sock Irving and sweep you up a’la Richard Gere / Debra Winger and carry you off on a galloping steed. So just relax and enjoy Irving’s company and the free food and drink. Good afternoon, Cathy Clan!

This just arrived in my email. Good idea for tonight’s dessert for Billy and friends after soccer.

Good line, Cathy (in panel 4). At least being self-aware is a first step to recovery. Not that she ever will.

Welcome back Bronzepony. Hi AnonaMona when you check in. Afternoon friends and family — hope all is well. :-D

Uh-oh, I’m like @mollie05 and can really relate to this one! I’m going to use Cathy’s last line on my husband and see if it works when we’re running late. I doubt it, but I can always try! Good afternoon, everyone!

Thanks Lightenup and Aaron! It was a farm holiday, showing the kids some cows and enjoying a nice landscape and really good kitchen. For my little one every animal was a doggie, but I coud read his face that in the end he had his doubts about it. He finally learned the word for bunnie and now uses it with enthusiasm. We chased a goat that got out of his fence, a great adventure for my daugther. Even more fun than campfire and night walk and swimming, which we also did (not in that sequence though).

Nice posting catsarge10, made me laugh. I like the swimming pool part!

Flat greasy hair? Sweaty makeup? Wrinkled clothes? Is Cathy’s house not air conditioned??? Meanwhile, I’m just the exact opposite: I always start getting ready at least 2 hours before I have to leave — especially if I’m going someplace special, like a wedding, for instance — because I don’t want to take the chance of anything going wrong and then we’re late leaving home and getting to our destination on time. I can always find something to do if I’m ready to go extra-early but if I’m running late, there’s no getting that time back again. I simply can’t stand being late to anything for any reason.

HI, AARON, DR. BILLY & LMB!!!!!

Aaron: Thanks for the muffin pan advice regarding the chocolate molten cakes. You’re sure they don’t stick coming out baking them that way? I’m assuming the muffin pan is buttered just like it says to do to the custard cups? I’m afraid I’m not a very experimental person when it comes to cooking/baking. I like to do things precisely the way the recipe is written; that way, I feel fairly confident that whatever I do will come out the way it’s supposed to (at least, that’s what I HOPE anyhow!). Experimenting when it comes to something I’ve never made before — especially if other people will also be eating it — doesn’t seem to work out very well for me. Too stressful.

Good evening, lightenup, lightenupjr., lil’lightenup, Dr. K.F.G., Susan, lindz.coop, rgcviper, gmforde, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, hendelca, Gator007, legaleagle48, mollie05, AnonaMona, catsarge10, millie p, soonergal, Bronzepony, Molly mcgee, simpsonfan2, Shyygirl27, Violet Bay, AndiJ, BJIllistrated, ncalifgirl58, summerdog, Terri, ruizuno1, Wolf Emperor, FinnyGirl, ellisaana, marmar in MI, J. Short and all the REST of the “Cathy” fanatics joining us here tonight. As always, it’s really great to “see” you all and if you’re new here . . . WELCOME TO CATHY’S NUTHOUSE!!!!! GLAD YOU’RE JOINING IN ON ALL THE FUN!!!!! ;-)

Wow … I’m honestly conflicted on today’s strip. Whether to say “Y’know, I see your point, Cathy” or go with the ever-trusty [eye-roll]?

    HELP!! :)

Hi Cathyites!! Well if she has to SPRING into action, no wonder she is all sweaty and her hair is all greasy. As soon as she fastens her seat belt, it is instant wrinkles anyway, so just let it be and blame it on the seat belt. Besides (and not to belabor the point) but it is an EX-boyfriend that SHE broke up with who is getting married. EYEROLL.
