Woman: I got up to the P's before I noticed I wasn't putting names in the right format for making address labels! Cathy: I typed in every name and address up to the K's, and then I realized I wanted it all to be in uppercase! Man: I spent 36 hours entering data and them decided I'd bought the wrong model!! All: I need to start all over! I want the time I wasted back!! Goodbye, mid-life crisis. Hello, Mid-system crisis.

As long as the names and addresses are in some machine-readable format, their formats can be altered with a suitable editor, or at worst a script, without re-entering the information.

I have days that I say that after I read my emails… “I want all the time I wasted back”!Good morning, Cathy Clan! Thank you for your kind messages for Jr! She absolutely loves spelling and although she was disappointed to not win yesterday, she was ready to start preparing for next year. Love her!Have a great day!!

This happens to me a lot, I’m making good progress on something and then change my mind about how I want to do it. The perils of perfectionism!

At work sometimes, it takes me more time to find a file and copy and paste something than it would to just retype it.
Hello, Cathy Clan! In the South we are bracing for ice and snow, which we don’t do too well with!

To be fair, Cathy, you didn’t “realize” you wanted it to be in all uppercase letters until a nosy co-worker told you that you were doing it all “wrong”. Until that happened, you were perfectly fine with the way you were entering all your info. Can’t you make up your own mind for a change?!? Besides, Teresa said the same thing yesterday that I was thinking myself: Why would you want to “yell” at yourself while you’re looking up a phone number or address? That’s not only annoying — it’s complete insanity!!!!!

Hi, rgcviper! I loved your “nutjobbiness” comment yesterday. I immediately thought of our dear friend, Aaron, as soon as I saw it because that’s definitely something he said about Cathy on more than one occasion!!! I miss him and Dr. Billy so much!!!!! Wishing and hoping that they both come back to us soon!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and Happy Thursday to all my “Cathy” clan friends. Hope everyone’s having a really great day today!

Gotta love technology, huh, Cathy and coworkers?
HI, MOM! What can I say … this comic brings out that word in me all the time. I, too, wish we’d hear SOMETHING from Aaron and/or Billy. Still hoping, though …
Hello to the wonderful and nutty Clan. It’s almost Friday!

Hi Cathyites!! I can empathize with Cathy on that one — I started a knitting project over 10 times last week before I got it right. Usually tho, it’s worth it to get it the way you want it. Glad we have things to edit what we do now on the PC.

The strip illustrates the story of my life very well – only it is our clients who like to change their mind – usually after the programming is finished. Sure glad we can charge extra for those times – but still cannot get my time back and that is worth more than money.
