Ok, I will admit that my best (female) friend and I don’t talk for months, but we do catch up from time to time and I only have one BF. The rest are friends and if we haven’t kept in touch for a while, I doubt I’d invite them to my wedding..Hello Cathy clan! Happy Friday!hendelca, sounds like Canada’s school schedule is like Spain’s. Is it the same all over Canada? It’s a big country, so I’d be surprised, but you never know. Spain’s school schedule will never change because the entire country is on vacation for August, so they can’t start school then. So strange to me that there’s no flexibility in that. Thanks for your eyeroll from rgcviper! We miss him!.Very interesting post yesterday, sis! I was impressed! I loved that movie too, but did not remember all of that. :-)

Not quite the same all over Canada. Not sure of the other provinces but I know Quebec ends a week earlier in June and starts the last week in August. When I was a wee lad I always thought that we should be off June and July since by the end of August the weather – and the water temperatures – were almost too cold to go swimming. I too have friends that I don’t talk to for long periods of time. In one case it was 10 years. From the day of his wedding to the day he walked away from it his wife would not let him talk to his old friends – she made him new ones. The day he called to say ‘Hi’ it was as if that 10 years did not matter. I just wish I could talk to him again – cancer took him 4 years ago. Well, I still talk to him, he just doesn’t answer.

I have a best friend that I will go months without talking to but when we do talk on the phone or get together it’s like no time has passed. We’re just both very busy, we both raised 6 kids. I have 5 at home now (1 left and came back), she still has 6 (the oldest left and came back).

    Hello Cathy clan!

Most of my best friends don’t live in Mexico, so we keep in touch with e-mail. When we do manage to get together in person, we make up for lost time with intense chats that go on forever!

My best friend and I meet for dinner once a month but we don’t really do a whole lot of actual talking in-between due to our busy schedules . . . which is why, to make up for it, our dinners are two hours long when we do get together though! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! Looking forward to “seeing” you here again soon! :-)

QuietStorm27: Thinking about you today, Girlfriend. How areyou doing? Hope things are otherwise going well for you and your family.

lightenup: It had been quite a while since I last saw “F.O.T.B.” soI didn’t exactly have all that info memorized. That’s why I had to watch it again so that I could get all the “facts” straight before I quoted any of it. Such a cute little movie! :-)

hendelca & Triviaguy: My deepest condolences at the loss of your beloved friends. Hope you’re both doing okay. :-(

hendelca: People sure are confusing sometimes, aren’t they?My husband has never tried to pick my friends and unless they’re pedophiles or something equally bad like that, I’d never presume to dictate to him who he could and couldn’t be friends with either (but then, my husband would never be friends with those kind of people to begin with!) so I’m afraid I can’t/don’t understand that kind of controlling behavior . . . nor why anyone would tolerate it being done to them. A misguided attempt on their part to make their spouse happy, I suppose. But even if my husband were friends with someone I didn’t otherwise like (which he isn’t), I still wouldn’t forbid him from seeing them; he’d just have to do it out-side our home (not to mention I wouldn’t go with him when he did). Now if the friend’s bad behavior were rubbing off on my husband and turning him into a big fat jerk too, well, then, that’s an entirely different subject matter all together ………. ;-)

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone hada really nice day today! :-)

    Ow—I think my head exploded.

Back from vacation (an awesome week), and soon I’ll start catching up on comics.

HI, MOM. Thanks for the greeting. Hello, Clan.
