I wouldn’t let that woman change anything. It’s up to the bride and groom to decide what they want. If the bride’s family is footing the bill, then I would be deaf to any suggestions that involved what this woman wants.

The unmitigated gall of Irving’s mother just boggles my mind. Cathy’s mother isn’t the only one around here suddenly feeling silly and dizzy right now because I’m feeling that way a little bit myself!!!!! :-P

 

If that were me, unless his parents are willing to foot the bill (notto mention reimburse ME) in order to change . . . well, pretty much everything that’s been done so far, I’d completely ignore her and her long list of ridiculous demands and just go through with everything that my daughter and I have already planned — and paid for. And if Irving’s parents don’t like it? Tough! Maybe they should have said (and done) something sooner. And if they don’t want to come because they’re not going to get their way? All the better for Cathy because that disastrous Thanksgiving holiday she just spent with her future in-laws completely stressed her out and no bride needs anything like that on her wedding day! :-P

lightenup, hendelca and FinnyGirl: Thank you all so much forthe wonderful birthday wishes! Some parts of it have been okay, while others . . . not so much. Hubby and I attended a friend’s re-tirement party earlier this afternoon, so that was a lot of fun. But my favorite aunt who’s not been in very good health for the last 3 years finally passed away Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and her visitation was today (with the funeral tomorrow morning) so that part really sucked. But the real cherry on top of my birthday “sundae”? Well, that was finding out right before I came here to “Cathy’s Corner” tonight that my husband’s 39-year-old nephew had a massive stroke earlier this morning and will require months of rehab once they bring him out of his current medically-induced coma. Thankfully he’s young and strong, so that’s going to help him tremendously with his recovery but whether he’ll ever be completely the same again is anybody’s guess. God bless his S.O. who was there when it happened and was able to call an ambulance that got him to the hospital on time or he wouldn’t still be with us now. But despite all that, once I got here and saw your sweet well-wishes, that made me feel a little bit better anyhow and for that, I thank you all very much. I really, really appreciate it. . . and I really, really appreciate all of YOU too!!! ((( Hugs!!!!! ))) :-)
