Just stay in bed

Do what my mom, sister, and I used to do. We’d go to the beach for a week. No plans other than walking on the beach, reading, talking, napping, and swimming. It was wonderful. When my father became ill with dementia we had to stop going. He passed November, but my mom is 90 now. We all would like to go back. but at her age it’s a bit tricky.

Yup, that’s the best vacation. Free coffee, Air Conditioning, comfortable chairs, Internet access and a break room. What else could I want. …well, maybe beer, but I’m not greedy.

Don’t let your boss hear that thought Cathy! Wait! I am in my office and am doing nothing. Oh, I am my own boss so I can get away with it.

Please enjoy today – and if you can, do nothing.

For me, a hotel is a must when on vacation. If I have to do my own cooking/cleaning/etc., it isn’t a vacation, it’s a temporary change of address.

For me, a hotel must be avoided whenever possible. They’re gross; just thinking about the cleanliness (and lack thereof) protocols makes me ill. Same for restaurants.

You could stay home…
