Actually, the correct statement of apathy would be “we couldn’t care less.” “Could care less” means that it is possible to care even less than what we do.
Reminds me of my Congress people. My representative sends a form letter bragging about his “job description” as US Representative. My senior senator says deal with his underlings. My junior senator never acknowledges my email at all. [4th Texas, Sam Rayburn’s old district.]
