holy LOL, pab! two belly laughs in five minutes. the strip, today; and the comment about the drag queen’s name on yesterday’s strip. (and to openminded i’m aware that JAD doesn’t seem to comment here and am also grateful for that fact. though i don’t find him nearly as annoying as some do.)

Wonder what Mrs. Claus’s first name is. Helen, perhaps?

Mrs. Claus’ first name is Hannah.

She spends eight nights a year delivering gelt to Jewish children.

So, Mrs. Claus is Jewish? I guess her annual journey would be referred to as a gelt-trip.

LOL - Great play on Yes Virgina - There is a Santa Claus!

Virginia must be pretty with all that snow this weekend - 20+ inches in some areas! Great place for Santa’s Reindeer but maybe Santa would like something warmer this time of year! ;-))

Hoomi, that is the single funniest thing I’ve heard all day. Being quarter Jewish, I’m familiar with familial “Gelt Tripping” Jewish relatives.

    You rock! :)

BTW, Virginia was named for Elizabeth I, the “Virgin” Queen.

Huzzah from another Virginian! And yesh, the snow is very pretty. Now if we could get folks to drive as well as it is pretty, we’d be all set! Bring your crash helmets, Claus family!

Er, why the Newfoundland postage stamp? (Sorry to wade in so late, but NL is 1/2 hour later than the rest of the country;)

ChapeauNoir: Free image using a Victoria portrait on a stamp. Plus I liked the way it looked.
