Monty by Jim Meddick for October 17, 2012
Transcript:
More catalogs, sir? Yes, Jarvis. So convinced am I of Romney's imminent victory that I'm planning ahead on how to spend the promised tax windfall... You see, as a job creator, it's my civic duty to spend my massive tax break ASAP. To get this nation back to work! Very noble of you, sir!... And, by golly! If you happen to be a manufacturer of hand carved ivory handled polo mallets, I promise you will not be long idle!

I’m thinking this strip may be a no-show on my morning web surf.

A couple of really good Christmas presents (to yourself, of course) ought to suck up several millions of dollars and put some poor peons back to work, Master Sedgwick!

Good job, Mr. Meddick! It’s a great plan to piss off ~50% of your potential audience.

But … Seriously, isn’t that how capitalism is supposed to work for the greater good? If the rich spend their money, it goes around and comes around – no? This idiot votes for one of the candidates, are [some of] you upset that idiots have got the vote?(I am a foreigner.)

Hey, you got something against hand-carved ivory-handled polo mallet manufacturers? You want to put their workers out of work? After all, a job’s a job.

I HATE when non-political comics get political. It’s bad enough that I can’t watch TV without being bombarded by this crap, but now I’m getting it from my source of escape.

I’m writing in Ross Perot.

Trickle-down economics is just a myth that the plutocrats sell the ill-informed middle class voters to convince them that tax cuts for the very wealthy are in their best interest. Romney offered up that tripe in double-sized helpings last night.

Job Creators what a joke. The job of the CEO is to maximize profits not create jobs.I’m voting for John Huntsman the only person who told the truth on the campaign – that is why he could never be elected!

I’m loving the comments whining about politics in the comics. Maybe you guys should stick with garfield or something.
If Romney didn’t want to get made fun of, he shouldn’t be so hilarious.

Monty isn’t alone in lampooning the election. Rudy Park recently got criticized as well over its perceived slant towards favoring Obama. Reading comics isn’t for wimps.

It IS funny nonetheless.

well actually, that’s kind of the idea of tax breaks for the rich, so they have more money to spend or invest in the economy…the PROBLEM is that most of it just ends up in Swiss bank accounts anyway.

Meddick needs a medic if he thinks this is what Romney’s platform is really gonna do. Got to stop believing YoBama’s lies.

Jim, I am your friend…remember when I gave you the idea of Beatles time travel that you used?….keep up the political retoric on the left…we are your audience!……
