Laura; Wow did you see the dog take off? Adam; Really fast. The kids are trying to slow her down. Laura; We're going to have to keep a close watch on the doors. Adam; I like the way she can corner on the hardwood floors. Adam; Most dogs have to slow down. She seems to accelerate. Laura; Years of maple syrup have given the floor a good grip.

Only had one cat in our apartment. We closed a door in the kitchen that lead to our bedroom and happened to watch as she tried to gain traction on the linoleum and then swerved her body so that her backside hit the door instead of her head.

What really makes it funny is the sound their claws make as they try to dig in. I can’t tell if they don’t learn that it doesn’t help or if it’s just a reflex.

A friend who was a huge racing fan told me that when the 1/4 midget cars ran indoors at the Milwaukee arena, they would put down Coca-Cola syrup and ran on that.
