When I was little, I was crying and cranky about something. My dad wouldn’t let me have my way. (Imagine that.) I cried out, “That’s not fair!”
In frustration he said, “Life’s not fair!” At the age of six this hit me hard. I really didn’t know that until that moment. I remember putting it together that I’d be living in an unfair world, and I had my life ahead of me. It was a shock.
