Adam; Hey kids, wait up! Don't let gumbo go in the street. Adam; Boy, oh boy. It's so humid for October. Adam; I've sweat through my t-shirt. Barista; Did you fall into a very, very deep puddle? Adam; I"ll have an iced coffee, thank you.
Irresponsible not to have Gumbo on a leash. Not likely that they have done any obedience training. People rescuing dogs seem to think that all they have to do is bring them home and feed them.
In principle I agree with alabamatix, Proper dog training takes time and should include a leash. I let my dog run in our alley at night without a leash, but I know he will come to me if I call him, I also have him walk with me on the street without a leash, but it took time to get to that point. As far as the comic goes, there is never a bad time for an iced coffee.Perhaps Adam should have told the kids not to let go of the leash. Better yet, hold the leash himself, if he can keep up with the dog.
