How stupid must one be not to understand exactly what Romney meant…or how dishonest to pretend not to understand? At best his odd choice of words should have brought a slight smile, not this lefty freak-out. (Funny cartoon though.)

one wonders at his campaign. every time he says or does something regrettable…47%, binders, firing, saving detroit, etc…another facepalm, another discussion with senior staff, more spin…i speculate his binders are really back issues of old playboy mags, or at least sears catalogs from the 1960s. and, shouldn’t the conservatives be upset with him, when he dodged the draft to do missionary work in france during vietnam war.

I love how his wind-up handle is on the left in the first 2 panels, then its on the right for the last 2. Very subtle flip-flop. Maybe his head turned completely around as in the Exorcist.

Suppose he’d said “binders full of blacks” or “binders full of Jews” or “binders full of Asians”. How would that have sounded?

I am not happy with Obama, but, I am smart enough to actually pay attention to what happens in DC rather than just blindly follow the sound bites various news media from ALL sides spout out. Most of what he proposed to get done was violently shot down by the republican opposition. Romeny on the other hand, scares the hell out of me, he is clueless in foreign policy, rude and undiplomatic to our friends (never mind our enemies) is arrogant and out of touch or down right contemptuous of the majority of poor and working class Americans and he and his supporters seem to think that’s just fine. Also as a devout Mormon he behaves exactly towards women as my many Mormon neighbors behaves towards their wives and daughters. It is his right to be a Mormon, I uphold that, but I refuse to be treated that way myself as is MY right. So, irregardless of Obama’s failings I won’t vote for Romeny.

Yes, it is important to understand what he meant; most do, which is why the uproar. Those who defend him just aren’t listening.
