With playdowns running into February, it’s good the Mudlarks can start basketball, instead.

What the heck is a playdown?

Now they’re just reaching for ways to keep Milford from winning anything. It’s getting silly how he can’t run through these scrubs for one season in anything. I bet the rest of the schools want to play a Valley Conference school in the playdowns because it’s an easy win.

Reason for Terry Gallagher story being pointless: The refs didn’t screw Terry Gallagher; Terry Gallagher screwed Terry Gallagher.

Still doesn’t beat “She’s 18” as a way to make a Gil Thorp plot pointless.

The stars at night are big and bright, (clap, clap, clap, clap) deep in the heart of Milford.

And so another Mudlarks’ football season comes to a close…perhaps Terry is a bit wiser….

To add insult to injury, the VT PK sends a spiral through for the winner. This thorpy-less streak is becoming Cleveland Indian like. I told you my esteemed colleagues, Mr. Rubin NEVER throws us a championship bone and we hang around like a hair on a bisquit.

If Gil had been coaching instead of going to job interviews this might not have happened. Terry got a bad call, but Terry had been a jerk so he deserved it? With these plot lines,Jack Berrill we really do miss you.

Not only did he kick a spiral, it also was a line drive that never got more than 3 feet above the crossbar – from 41 yards away no less!

Well, Terry’s reputation preceded him on the field, now will it precede him again at the Bucket. Story’s over, so I don’t think we’ll find out.

I realize that for the sake of realism, the Mudlarks can’t make a deep playdown run too often, but come on…Neal Rubin is going too far in the opposite direction re: MHS is just a middling mediocre program who almost never makes a dent in the post season.

I dunno, ohiobobcat, in my neck-of-the-woods there are perennial powers that consistently win, and it’s usually because of coaching. Here in Texas, at least, there’d be a lot of pressure for Gil to focus on coaching one sport and being the AD, given his recent track record.

Now we can enter the storyline of the Irishman and a forcible sexual assault at The Bucket later that night when he corners ‘dirty’ Sanchez in the boys bathroom

You guys are nuts. Go back and look at some of Jack Berrill’s stuff … a lot of it was totally lame. Rubin’s ’way better.

Man he had plenty extra on that kick to make it go through the window of the house across the street from the field
