I’m afraid we’re going to be to late to save the soup, or any remaining shred of Earl’s dignity!

One of the other strips defined “eternity” as from now until Christmas – for Earl, it’s from now until Opal and Pearl show up. And then a new eternity begins — they’ll never let him forget this.

I bet that’s what all non-rescue dogs think: they’re not Lassie

Can’t he roll over to side, perhaps?

@paha_sigaI was thinking the same thing. When my husband gets stuck, I tell him to roll over to get better leverage.

I remember those chairs – long before “ergonomics” became a household word.

Oh no, now we won’t know what happened because the Sunday strip doesn’t follow the week’s arc, does it?

Depending on how soft it is, and how soft YOU are, sometimes you can’t roll over. I got stuck in one of those test beds in the mall. Just WAY too soft, I couldn’t get out, but I have back problems too, that’s why I was looking at it in the first place.

The cat will rip it open with it’s claws and all the beans will spill out.
