    Is the WW1 pilot’s supper dish filled with dog food? Landing in it would be REALLY embarrassing.

    Another sweet dog has died 3 days after eating treats from China, while the FDA drags its feet over a ban. Many heartbreaking stories on the web, PLEASE READ THE LABELS AND DO NOT BUY DOG OR AT FOOD FROM CHINA.

    OK, so flight school took up the 1st week, and shipping over probably took the 2nd week, so, ummm, who changed the pilot’s diapers during this time . . . ?

    They had parachutes back then, but they refused to issue them to the pilots because they thought that they would just bail out of any sticky situation instead of fighting. If your plane catches fire, pull out your revolver and shoot yourself.

    In general, WWI represented a major change in the way war was fought. The weapons developed quicker than the tactics of the troops. The weapons were modern while the fighting style was left over from the wars of the 1800s. As a result, in some battles, the casualties were massive. At some points, the entire fighting age population of some villages was wiped out.

    Basically WWI fighter pilots weren’t given parachutes because it was considered that they would be too ready to use them. Parachutes were reserved for crews in tethered observation balloons.because they were basically a sitting duck with a flammable gas bag on top, and these were highly trained officers. There were plenty of people who could be taught to fly.

    @Snoopy_Fan

    I’ve heard of Martin Luther King and he sounded like an inspiration to all of America.

    Enjoy your extra day off and take care.
