We knew he couldn’t be dead, he’s an important, well loved, character.

Does he even realize his beer cooler was abducted?

I don’t know about which I’m more surprised: 1) Larry being alive or 2) Larry speaking in complete, understandable English.

But they all look alike!

So will Larry be coming out of the closet?

I knew he hadn’t died. Don’t ever consider someone dead in Pearls unless you either see him die or see the body.

@Kevin (from yesterday):“I wonder what happened to the Cache of Beer in the closet that Larry Spent his College Fund on that his Father gave to him.” Here’s your answer. Looks like he about used it up.

A nice ‘tickle your brain’ strip where it takes you a second or two to go “wait, what?” and then laugh.

How long has Larry been hiding in that closet? The Killer Dolphins must not have as smart as they thought they were if Larry escaped them that easily! Will Junior invite Larry to Larry’s Memorial Service? What will Patty say or do? Maybe she’ll think it more practical for Larry to remain “dead” until after the beautiful service…?

An unexpected twist, though I didn’t expect pastis to kill off Larry the crocodile.

I love Junior’s little yellow tie!

Has there ever been a ghost in this strip? Maybe it’s time for one to join the cast…

I love this strip! Only one I read that guarantees at least a chuckle, if not a full chortle every week. Plus it at times interjects some real cool emotion every now and then. Good work Mr. Pastis.

As I said, Larry is on the verboten list of characters who can be killed off in Pearls.

Green skin, yellow tie, blue jacket…hmm, that gator is one snappy dresser. Probably all polyester. Welcome back, Larry. As for what happened to the Dolphins: don’t eat the tuna sandwiches.

1st time I’ve felt sad for a crocodile. poor little guy. He is Way smatrer than his dad.

i’m certain he died. but then he undied. which is totally possible and very common in most comics, especially PBS. plus the dolphins got a real delish meal out of him, too… and they can do it all over next week. if we could figure out how to do that, we’d solve world hunger… tasty croc!

I can actually see a difference in expression in the last two panels.

Larry is gonna spend all next week collecting things from the neighbors. Not the stuff of his they stole, just random stuff.

And Zeeba’s vicious plot to de-legitimize the Croc’s claim to Zeeba’s house by fake killing Larry… has been exposed!Ha!Those evil, evil Zeeba’s… They won’t get away with it this time.The Crocs are too clever…

I hope the bones they found don’t mean he somehow managed to kill the dolphin. I love those dolphins. (“Swim! Be happy.”)
