Both Monty and Wizard of Id have run fortune teller arcs for several days. A coincidence seems unlikely. What gives? Did Hart challenge Meddick, or vise versa? Do they share a fortune teller, and did the fortune teller tell them to do fortune-teller arcs at the same time? Regardless, it makes for an interesting comparison of styles.

Mad magazine did something similar to this many years ago. Guy was at a fortune teller and she predicted all kinds of weird stuff and as he walked out the door a sign fell on him, a truck lost control and headed straight for him….can’t remember what all….
