I thought I made that name up, but Google informs me there was a Philomena Wattle in Rogersville, TN in 1914. The June 10, 1914 Rogersville Review newspaper said, “According to Philomena Wattle, the congregation was so small last. Sunday that she blushed when the Reverend got up and said, ‘Dearly. Beloved.’”
