Cathy: Hi. I'm looking for a handhald PC. Man: Which one do you want? Cathy: Well, I've done a little research and I'm ready to discuss the pros and cons. Let's get them all out...analyze...compare...see which fits... starting of course, with the first big question... Man: Which one do you want? Cathy: Men sell the way men shop.

Good I thought I was having a “Ground Hog Day” like Bill Murray.

Thought it looked familiar. Cathy should ask for a female salesclerk.

There was no “Calvin and Hobbes” yesterday, either. Is there a postal strike on somewhere?

At least there’s color today!Hello everyone! I think we fixed the problem with the water in our basement, but I guess time will tell.

Oh, Cathy. You just have to learn to communicate in geek: I want 4 GB of RAM, etc. Then ask whether option A or option B is better.

Typical of pretty much any situation when it comes to salesmen and women: Cathy’s being “blown off” and totally disregarded despite her telling him she’s done her research and wants to compare them all to each other in order to find the one that’s right for her. She should either ask for his manager or take her business elsewhere — that’s what I’d do if some salesman treated ME like that!
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Monday to all my “Cathyite” friends. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

lightenup: How goes the water leak? Hope you’ve got it stopped!
Meanwhile . . .
I tried earlier to find Dr. Billy on the N.I.H. directory of employees but do you know how incredibly DIFFICULT it is to find someone in a situation like that?!? Not knowing his last name or what department he specifically works in is a real hindrance to finding him!!!!! Just entering only the name William under the “All Institutes and Centers” listing yields 500 names and in the event he’s listed as Billy, there’s 253 of those!!! Trying to call the N.I.H. directly would probably lead me nowhere since that’s a government agency and we all know how super-secret the government can be!!!!! Anyone remember anything more than I do that can maybe help us find him? I hate to give up hope on our dear friends but I’m just about out of ideas and don’t know what else to do. It’ll be 12 weeks this coming Friday since they completely disappeared without a word and I’m beginning to think something terrible might have happened to them when Superstorm Sandy hit their area. I don’t like having those thoughts but it’s so hard keeping the faith that everything’s okay when yet ANOTHER day — day after day — passes and we’re still not hearing anything from or about them.

Hi Cathyites!! This comic really doesn’t have a Sunday update. The Calvin & Hobbs update finally did post — you can check it by going back a day. Last week I got no comics until I complained and then I had still missed a couple of days. Don’t know what’s wrong, but I hope they get it fixed soon. Some of us pay for these comics. As for the comic — the sales clerk is using what we therapists call “broken record” so that she will either just shut up & buy it or go away. He definitely could be a little more helpful to say the least. I hope your leaks are fixed lightenup.

Yup—I knew this one looked familiar. Missing the Sunday strips here …
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

Billy said he was involved in oncological research – but that wouldn’t narrow down the search much.
The abrupt disappearance happened before Sandy hit, so I wouldn’t think the storm was to blame. Even if they’d had to move home due to storm damage, they would have the Net back by now.
My fear is that something happened to one of the boys, or to LMB – or to a family member. Whatever happened took them over for a long time – and it’s hard to come back to a web community when you’ve been away for a while. Everybody seems to have moved on without you.
I think everybody who knew Aaron and Billy only a little bit must miss them. They were cheerful, funny, kind and helpful – they made us laugh, smile and sometimes cry. Every day I come here hoping there will be a message from them, but – it hasn’t happened yet.
