    Well, let’s face it, Cathy. None of the above matters if you can’t even be bothered to physically put yourself out there once in a while! eye roll

    @GretchensMom: Looks like maybe you got your wish (time will tell). It appears that Omnius has been blocked from Calvin and Hobbes, and all of his previous “Tea Party” comments are no longer visible. Perhaps this happened because so many people were flagging his comments.By the way, I left you two comments on Cathy late last night.

    I would think you could also be turned down from a job with one bad answer as well. And it’s not so bad to only go to the office. When I was single, I used to go out socially but never found anyone. Then I met my husband at work, and it’s been great. (Not that it works for everyone – in fact, it’s against most company policy, for good reason)To everyone – I would like to apologize for making this an uncomfortable place to read comments in the past couple of days. I never wanted that for the Cathy corner, so I’m sorry for that. I will not however apologize for speaking up. I let a lot of things go that I don’t think are worth the response, but I felt that I could not let that go. GretchensMom, Billy, Aaron, and others have had times when they spoke up about something that they felt strongly about, so I don’t feel bad about speaking up.I will let it go now and we can all go back to the pleasant place Cathy’s corner usually is, so no need to be nervous that this is turning into an uncomfortable place to be. Thank you for being a nice community!@ Hobbes – It’s been really nice to see your adorable face over here, and I hope you make it a daily habit! You are one of the best parts of the C&H community and one of the few that I read over there. Thank you for my daily smile! :-)@ samfran – I’m sorry, but I don’t recall what happened to cause you to stop commenting here. I did notice that you were gone, but since people leave for various reasons, I didn’t say anything. Either way, I hope you start commenting again!

    Thanks, lightenup. I’m only an occasional reader of Cathy, but she has a great group of followers. Nevertheless, neither Cathy’s life nor the life of the group will always go smoothly. But the bumps in the road help everyone to appreciate the good times more.

    Really tired of all the daily eyerolls. Look, we all know what Cathy is all about. If you can’t deal with it, maybe stop coming to the site.

    I’ve always wondered if Cathy just “settled” for Irving after never meeting anyone else. I wasn’t reading the comic during the last couple of years of it. Can anyone address this for me? Did they both actually mature and stop taking each other for granted?@*O-Kay* — As for me, I never do the eyeroll. I like this comic because I “get” Cathy — not afraid to admit that I’m very much like her. Maybe some folks are amused and entertained by her because of what might be seen as her “flakiness.” Hope everyone in the Cathy Clan is having a nice week so far!

    What does Cathy mean she never leaves home besides going to work?!? What about all those garish clothes she tried on at the mall a few weeks ago? Or the 6 new pairs of shoes she picked up recently? Or the $500.00+ worth of pretty, matching boxes she just bought to help her (supposedly) get organized?!?!? What about lunch dates with Charlene, Andrea and her mother? Doesn’t any of that count as getting out of the house and going somewhere other than the office — or does it count ONLY if it’s just to possibly meet men??? {Eye roll because she deserves it today for the big, whopping lie I feel like she just told Charlene . . . AND because I WANT to!!!!!}

    Hi, rgcviper!

    lightenup: I have no problem with people expressing strong emotions whenever they feel like it about whatever subject touches them so deeply (as you said, I’ve done it too. See my recent rants on C&H and FBoFW for proof of that!). I sure don’t like it when other people put words in my mouth that I didn’t say either and I certainly don’t mind telling them so when it happens. My discomfort came with it becoming so extremely personal between you and legaleagle — that’s all. We’ve always had such a nice, respectful, friendly little group here that I don’t want to see it turn into another one of Go Comics forums that I can no longer stand because of all the rudeness there. I just hope you understand and aren’t mad at me for saying so. You and I agree on so many subjects that I often feel like you’re my “soul sister” and I certainly don’t want to ruin the wonderful rapport we have between the two of us. That would make me feel so sad!!!!!

    :-(

    Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow “Cathy” friends. Hope everyone had a really nice day today!!!!!

    Hobbes: I think you may have spoken a little TOO soon regarding Omnius being banned over at C&H!!!!! I went there and started reading the comments after reading your comment here and, yep . . . sure enough . . . there it was . . . yet another ugly political tea-party comment by him so I just left again. :-(

    Regarding yesterday: In order to leave a comment there, I have to first read everyone else’s comments so that I don’t repeat something someone else has already said. Also, by reading other people’s comments, I may think of something I want to say in response to something one of THEM said. In the end, it all just inevitably boils down to me having to read the comments in order to leave one of my own. At this point in time, I think I’d much rather just stick with what I’ve been doing since my big, dramatic exit from there on May 4th: and that’s to read anything only YOU have to say and then move on from there to the next comic I read.

    When it comes to political comments, I really don’t mind them when the day’s C&H topic IS political. That’s fine; I have absolutely no problem with that AT ALL. What bothers me so much is the way Omnius (and anyone else who wants to join him) finds a way to hijack the day’s non-political topic, turn it completely around and MAKE it political in order to continue spewing his daily “I hate the tea party” rants. It’s aggravating and exhausting, really. By not reading ANYTHING he’s had to say for the last 10 days, I feel as though that’s helped my blood pressure tremendously! I’ve definitely felt a whole lot calmer since I quit reading that forum but if he ever really DOES get banned from commenting there and you know it for sure, then please let me know and I’ll come back again.

    Until then, I’ll continue reading only YOUR comments there and I hope you’ll join us more often HERE!!!!! :-)

    @GretchensMom: We’ll miss your positive comments over there, but since the extremists have such a strong effect on you, it sounds like the right thing for you to do. Life is too short to spend it doing things that shorten your lifespan by creating a lot of unnecessary stress. I’ll miss your comments, but perhaps we’ll hear from you again someday. Signing off now from GoComics for a week or two or……….:>)Have a good summer.

    And do YOU ever leave YOUR home except to drive to the office, goofy-looking, poofy-haired lady? Just askin’.

    Nice to see your comments here on “Cathy”, Hobbes. I hope to see you again here in the days to come.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

    I’ll take daily eye-rolls over political rants any time! Especially since my eyes do roll after reading many of the strips!
