Irving, you can NEVER win this game! There will always be someone who is happier, richer, more successful (whatever your definition is of success), so don’t worry about it and live your own life! (And usually not going to your HS reunion is a great first step toward doing that)Good morning, Cathy clan! Unfortunately I got a phone call from Jr’s camp last night. Apparently, she’s having a good time during the day, but has a really hard time at night. :-( She wants to sleep in her own bed and doesn’t want to be there at night (she asks for a GPS so she can find her way home LOL). Poor thing, it’s hard being in a different place. I’ve sent her an email (yay for technology!) that she’ll get this afternoon, so I hope it gets better for her. :-(

90+ degree heat is normal for us. But I don’t laugh at those who call it a “heat wave” because they’re just not used to it.

Irving will be the winner in the end, when the next crash comes. Daddy will stay home because he got laid off while mommy goes back to work as a consultant to keep a roof over their heads.

yes here in Mexico 30C is normal but we get used to it. I really don’t like 40 and 42C and neither do my friends here!

Quit bragging, Irving. Always a turn-off.Is Irving really the CEO of a big company? I didn’t know that — didn’t really know WHAT he does for a living.Happy Hump Day, Cathy Clan!

Somehow I think the other guy has his priorities in better shape than Irving. It has been rather hot for us here in NE Ontario this past week. But then again, it is July so we had better soak up the heat to release it again in January (don’t we wish!)lightenup Sorry to hear about Jr’s problem at night. Being in a ‘strange’ bed can make it difficult to get to sleep – even for some of us older folks. I never sleep well the first night when I am away from home. Just glad the ‘strangeness’ is resolved in one night so I can get a good sleep for the rest of my stay away. But then again, it has been many decades since I was Jr’s age!

It’s pathetic, immature braggarts like Irving [who are always trying to “one-up” everyone else in the “I’m more successful than you” department] that have caused me to swear off any more high school class reunions for the rest of my life. So to him and everyone like him . . . thanks a lot for that, you big dumb jerks!!!!! :-(
Hi, rgcviper!
lightenup: So sorry to hear that Jr. is having such rough nights while away at camp. I don’t sleep very well in strange beds when I’m away from home either (and neither does my husband) so I completely sympathize with her. Hope she felt better after getting your e-mail. Please be sure to give her our love, support and encouragement the next time you “talk” to her! :-)
Hope everyone had a nice Wednesday and was able to keep cool in the summer heat!

Now I remember why I dislike Irving so much — he’s disgusting! Cathy is right-on in this one. Sorry Jr. is having a tough few days at camp lightenup — hopefully the contact from home will help. Yes, it’s hot here — but I’m glad we spent last week in Snug Harbor and not this week — it’s in the 90’s up there (and there is no air conditioning at the cottage). It’s in the 90’s here, but the humidity is so high that the heat index is around 104. One of my older clients could not come in to the office today because she has trouble breathing (COPD) and can’t go out of the house in this type of weather.

Annnd, the [eye-roll] should cover things once again.
Sheesh—I wish we could buy [eye-rolls] in bulk somehow. Are you listening, stores?
I’m leaving to go out of town tomorrow, and will probably be away from the Internet until next Monday or Tuesday. Have a nice week and weekend, all.
HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.
