Male coworker: Jewelry bought! Card sent! Flowers ordered! Dinner reservations made! For once, I'm completely ready for Valentine's Day! Charlene and Cathy: Wow! Cathy: What did you get her cat? Male: Her cat? Cathy: You don't have anything for her cat? Male: I'm supposed to give a Valentine to her cat?? Charlene: It wouldn't to have to be from you. Her cat's valentine could be from your dog. Cathy: Except that implies a lack of commitment. Ideally your dog would give her cat a valentine and you would give her cat a valentine! Charlene: Unless she has two cats. Each cat needs its own, unique valentine from each of you! Cathy: You'll blow the whole relationship if you try to slide with a group cat gift! Male: Then would I be done??? Would everyone be happy??? Charlene: Unless there are fish involved... Cathy: Also, what's your dog getting your girlfriend's mother's bird? Male: Totally ready, completely unprepared... For her. For him. For them.

This guy just needs to completely ignore Cathy and Charlene’s stupid Valentine’s pet / gift “advice.” If I were single and dating someone, I’d think it was very sweet and thoughtful if he gave my dog a special little treat of some kind for the “occasion” too, but it certainly wouldn’t be a deal breaker for our relationship if he didn’t.
This guy’s lucky lady is already getting a card, jewelry, flowers and dinner out at (I’m assuming) a really nice restaurant so why would she need any more than that? And if after everything he does for her she still dumps him because he doesn’t get her cat two gifts — one from him and one from his dog (not to mention something for his girlfriend’s mother’s bird, too!) — then he’s better off without her anyhow. Gold-digging problem solved!

O-Kay: I was thinking the exact same thing. It’s always so em-barrassing to see women say and do such idiotic things and have men think that we’re ALL that way when we’re really not. Some of us actually do have fairly intelligent brains in our heads!

Oh my…..No one ever gave my dog special treats on special holidays…I always gave her birthday ‘bumps’ on her bum, just patted her bottom for how old she was (in human years, not dog years)…….anyway hope all is enjoying their Sunday :)
