Cathy: We're both too busy to go out, Irving. Let's just meet for coffee so we can talk about "us." Irving on phone: We don't have to talk about "us" anymore, Cathy! We're engaged! Cathy: Oh, ha ha! We have to talk about our future! Irving: No we don't! We know our future! No more hideous "commitment" discussions! No more icky "feelings" reviews! We're engaged! We're done with all that! Cathy: No we really have to talk!! Irving: When do I get to check something off the list??

Even if you weren’t with queen nut Cathy, you should still talk about your relationship from time to time. Keeping things going well is an ongoing process, not one that ends when you get engaged or married.
Hello Cathy clan! I’m later than usual today because I have 2 sick kids at home. Oddly it’s mostly fever, although Jr had other digestive issues this morning (I’ll spare you the details). I hope they get better soon, poor things!QuietStorm – I’m sorry your mini didn’t move to the next level in the bee, but I hope she is proud how well she did to get to the regionals. She’s amazing and I’m rooting for her to go far in life because she seems awesome!

Never, Irving! With Cathy, that neurotic list of hers just keeps on growing and expanding; nothing will ever be checked off and if it is, she’ll be the one to determine what that will be and when. You might as well get used to it now because it’ll make life a lot easier for you later on down the road if you do.
