Or how about this, Cathy’s mom… just say NO to your daughter! I know it’s hard, but it’s got to be done.Even if you are a gazillionaire, you don’t need all that stuff. Beautiful doesn’t mean “over-the-top”..Hello Cathy clan! Today we are off on a short trip for Lil’s birthday that we promised her we’d take (we don’t normally do trips for kids birthdays, but considering my kids have been so great about this upheaval in their lives, we figured we all deserved it). We will be back on July 6. Til then, friends…! A happy Independence day to my US friends!

    The Maui coast . . . 10 bridesmaids . . . horse-drawn carriages . . .

You don’t need to win the lottery, Mom — you just need to slap your daughter upside her idiotic head instead!!!!

It’s finally time to draw a line in the sand and say “No! No more!” Continue giving them the $10,000.00 you initially agreed to if you want, but let them know that anything they spend OVER that amount will then come out of their pockets. That little bit of so-bering news should pretty much cause them to hit the brakes after that when it comes to all these ridiculous “needs” they think they have in order to put on the “perfect” wedding and will (hopefully!) put their feet a little more firmly on the ground of reality instead.

Y’know, weddings can be nice when they’re simple.

And when they don’t inspire gut-twisting [eye-rolls]. But, then, that wouldn’t be Cathy, now, would it?

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
