I’ve always tried hard to emphasize the importance of learning and working at it, so it’s kind of ingrained in them and they pretty much enjoy it. They have plenty of time to play and hang out, and I try to make it enjoyable. Khan Academy is one website that is great, especially to explain something they’re having trouble with. Also, Jr is a huge geek and a bookworm, so it’s something she naturally likes anyway.Sis – School starts Sept 7 and ends June 30 this year. So late, in my opinion! I’m much happier with an Aug-May schedule.
