A variation on the theme of “A moment on the lips/Forever on the hips.”

I would like to know where Cathy donates her like-new rejects, and peruse them to see what I’d like to buy for myself. : )

My mum’s the opposite! She’s always telling me to get rid of stuff! I thought most mothers were …

Surely Cathy never bought ANYTHING in only 20 seconds, or even 20 minutes.

Finally, a Cathy strip that I can relate to! I will admit that I’m guilty of buying things and not getting rid of them sooner. For example, I have 4" heels that I bought probably 15 years ago and I will most likely never wear again because I’m really tall and I sincerely doubt that a) there will be an event that I would wear them to and b) I still can walk in them without injuring myself and others. So I am now trying to get rid of things, which is going well, but it just takes time. And it’s tiring. But at least I don’t have Cathy’s mom questioning everything that I’m getting rid of..Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! I sure wish this weather would cool off. I’m ready for fall!Sis and lindz.coop, thanks for your posts yesterday! It’s funny, Sis, Wonder Woman is my favorite superhero, probably because I wish I were her! I’m not sure I’m doing the best job because it probably takes me longer to get things done than other people, but it’ll get done eventually. :-) I think QuietStorm is a Wonder Woman too with all of her children, going to school and working. No idea how she does it either. I hope things settle down also, lindz.coop! We have a vacation at the end of the month, so we just need to make it until then!

I fully agree that getting rid of things is time consuming and tiring. I have being getting rid of things for decades now but still accumulate faster than I get rid of. Perhaps my difficulty stems from too many times I finally throw something out (after it sitting there for years) and the next day I need it. Oh well someday . . .

Yep. Just like I said yesterday: if Cathy didn’t get rid of her inter-fering mother, all she was going to do was slow down — maybe even stop — the entire (box) packing process and sure enough, that’s exactly what she’s done. Cathy’s a grown, married woman but you wouldn’t know it by the way she acts. It’s WAY beyond time for her to cut herself lose from her mother’s apron strings!

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lightenup and QuietStorm27: I think you’re BOTH “Wonder Women”! ;-)

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone had a really nice day today! :-)

I have a hard time getting rid of things too and apparently I passed that on to my mini-me…she hates getting rid of things.

I’d say lightenup is Wonder Woman, I’m just the woman who wonders how I’m going to get everything done. Some things, like sorting through clothes, just have to wait.

lightenup I’m the opposite of you, very short, but I can’t wear heels either. :-) The best I can do is a wedge, or boots with wide heels.

Hi Mom, rgcviper, hendelca and all the rest of my Cathy friends. I’m off to work on a paper before I get too tired.

Wow. After reading panel 3 of today’s strip, I now know exactly how Cathy became a nut-job. No offense, Cathy’s mom, but with the evidence right there …

    HI, MOM. Greetings, Clan.

Me too!! I confess…I have a really hard time getting rid of things unless I know somebody else wants it…I give lots of clothes to my nieces and nephews and then let them either keep them, share them or give them to the Goodwill. I don’t get a tax break for donations, so I let them have that if nothing else. I still have way too much stuff!!
