Like many patterns (polka dots, chevron, etc), plaid is fine in small doses. It’s annoying when designers announce a certain pattern is what everyone should be wearing that year and that’s all that is available in the stores. I might buy one item (if I liked it, not because the designers said it was what people needed to wear), but I think it’s funny that sometimes you can look at someone’s outfit and know what time period they bought it in because that was what was popular that year.

I agree with lightenup – October weddings are awesome. We celebrated 41 years together on Thanksgiving Monday (Columbus day for those of you south of the 49th).

I hate plaid. My 14-year-old daughter loves it. Today she’s wearing a purple plaid skirt. She calls it her Japanese Anime Schoolgirl skirt.
