Clipping and using are two different things. Most of those are probably expired.

Is that Irwin in the last panel? Did he switch tops with Cathy?

As much as I don’t like Cathy’s purse in this one, I wouldn’t have too much of a problem paying more for a high quality purse that I’ll keep for 10 years, vs a cheap one that I’ll have to replace every year.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! I hope everyone has a great day!

Irving is wrong about the coupons, as long as they are only used for stuff you were going to buy anyway. Grocery store coupons, regularly used, might save the cost of the purse in a year. Coupons for more expensive items, however, are frequently available and save 20-40% off the cost of your purchase.

I never go shopping for anything expensive without checking store sites for coupons first. Many stores have major discount coupons all the time (Old Navy, Michaels, etc.). Others have major discounts at least once a month. I saved more than the cost of Cathy’s purse on back-to-school shopping alone by following store sales and bringing coupons with me.

I don’t believe in paying for over-priced do-dads. You are mostly paying for the designers name on it, not necessarily a better quality item. Secondly, what you just bought and love will soon go out of style in many cases (huge purses) and you will not want to use it anymore, no matter how much you paid for it.

I quit clipping years ago because by the time I needed them or got to the store, they were always expired or for the wrong item or something. I decided my time was worth more than that.
